Alternative Dispute Resolution Ontario

The ADR Institute of Ontario Inc. (ADR Ontario) is an affiliate of The ADR Institute of Canada, Inc. (ADR Canada), which is a non-profit organization established to provide national leadership in the promotion of alternative dispute resolution methods in Canada. Art Dealers Association of Canada

The Art Dealers Association of Canada Inc. (ADAC) is a national not-for-profit organization founded in 1966. Our 75-member association is the largest representation of major private commercial galleries in Canada and our members represent the country's leading artists. ADAC's mandate includes stimulating the art market in Canada and encouraging the awareness of the visual arts both nationally and abroad. ADAC both monitors and is actively involved with issues and policy formation concerning the visual arts. As part of this initiative, the Association maintains a continuing dialogue with government agencies at federal, provincial and municipal levels. Artist-Run Centres and Collectives of Ontario (ARCCO)

ARCCO is a professional arts service organization for artist-run, not-for-profit centres and collectives for contemporary art in Ontario. This includes centres/collectives for the presentation, production, dissemination, service and investigation of contemporary art in a variety of media and multi-disciplinary work.

Artists' Legal Advice Services

The Artists Legal Advice Service is a not-for-profit legal service for artists in all disciplines residing in Toronto. The roster of lawyers all have professional practices in the field of entertainment law. They provide 30 minutes of free legal advice on a wide number of issues, from assigning copyright, interpretation and review of contracts, and information on artists' legal rights and responsibilities in a number of key areas. ArtistsInCanada is dedicated to raising the profile of the visual arts in Canada by maintaining a national directory of internet links to artists and art resources. ArtistsInCanada maintains the directory of links as a free service to the arts community. The directory is stored in a database where site visitors can search the links using a simple search interface. Visitors are invited to add their visual arts-related links to the directory. The Canada Council for the Arts is a national arm's-length agency created by an Act of Parliament in 1957. The Cultural Human Resources Council - Visual Arts and Crafts

The Cultural Human Resources Council has always had an emphasis on self-employed artists. The self-employment rate in Canada 's cultural labour force (at 21%) is almost three times higher than the rate in the overall labour force (at 8%). Among painters, sculptors and other visual artists the number of self-employed is at 67%; among artisans and crafts persons, 50% are self-employed.
