CARFAC Ontario Membership Pride Campaign!

In the last membership survey the number one reason (77%) members gave for joining CARFAC Ontario was because they believed in the organizational mandate. You told us that you believe that artists, like professionals in other fields, should be paid for their work and share equitably in profits from their art practice. You told us that you support CARFAC Ontario's work to develop policies, publications and services that assist artists, galleries, curators art patrons and all those with an interest in creating an economic climate that benefits all Visual and Media Artists.

As a result, this year, instead of showering you with a “flurry” of prizes; CARFAC Ontario is encouraging its members to show support for their association in 4 different ways.

  • Sign up a fellow visual or media artist and Save, Save, Save!

From January 19, 2007 until March 31, 2007 we are proposing an outrageous idea. When you refer a friend, we will offer you (our proud supporter) and your fellow artist a $10 discount!

If you and/or your colleague would like to join or renew for 2 years, then your savings will increase to $25 each!

If you are able to refer more than one person then you will receive an additional $5.00 savings per person. For instance, if you sign up 3 people your membership fee would be $50.00 as opposed to $70. For a two year membership your fee would be $105.00 as opposed to $120.00.

  • Show that you are a proud CARFAC Ontario member!
CARFAC Ontario - The Professional Association of Visual and Media Artsists   Download the CARFAC Ontario logo (right-click on the logo and select "Save picture/image as...") and include it on your promotional materials along with our web address. Some examples might be:
• Exhibition Invitations
• Websites
• Catalogues
• Artist Statemens

  • Sign up as a “Sustaining Member”

You can be proud to say that you personally help to create a better socio-economic climate for  all Visual and Media artists. Our programs and services are designed to help you succeed as a professional artist.  Your Sustaining Membership costs only $170 and  is tax deductible as an eligible business expense related to your art practice. Artists who sign up will be acknowledged in the spring issue of DISPATCH and will also be entered into a draw for a mystery grand prize which will take place on April 1, 2007.

  • Make a donation to CARFAC Ontario.

It's a simple idea but even $5.00 makes a difference. If half of CARFAC Ontario's membership made a $5.00 contribution we would have more than $2,000 that could be directed to programs and services. Donations received during this campaign will also be eligible for the mystery grand prize.

Artists interested in becoming Sustaining Members can do so by signing up on the website at www.carfacontario.ca/join.

If you choose to pay using our convenient PayPal Online payments; be sure to fill out the online form that accompanies your payment transaction and let us know that you are participating in the Pride Campaign.

If you have friends signing up because of your efforts make sure they tell us that you encouraged them to join! Remember both you and your friends will receive discounted memberships until the end of the Pride Campaign on March 31, 2007.
