Color and Form Society
The Colour and Form Society is an exhibiting society, based in Ontario, Canada, with a continually evolving membership of close to one hundred professional artists. The Society is non-commercial in character, promoting quality art and freedom of expression. Its members consistently exhibit throughout the year. In addition to other exhibitions, there is one juried exhibition per year and a biennial juried exhibition, both of which are open to submissions from non-members. The acceptance into any of these juried exhibitions garners the artist the right to apply for membership in the CFS. CFS has played a significant role in the cultural mosaic of Canada. The period following World War II saw an influx of many Europeans to Canada. Among the new Canadians were visual artists of considerable talent. Forming an association and presenting their work as a unit, brought recognition of their distinct creativity. These new artists added considerably to the escalation of art awareness that took place in Canada, especially in the 1950’s and 1960’s. Since its formation in 1952, the Society has continued to grow, welcoming artists from different parts of the world. The Colour and Form Society is now an integral part of the artistic community of Canada and is one of the major art societies in Ontario. It continues to mount art exhibitions of excellence. Its members are active participants on various cultural boards. Some members have become internationally known artists, showing their work in Europe, Africa, and Asia.

CSAC produces festival, lecture, workshops and art exhibitions. The Canadian Arts Access Network CAAN is an index of arts and disability organizations which CSAC maintains. CSAC is also an International Affiliate of VSA arts and can be identified also as VSA arts Ontario.

Cube is centrally located in the heart of west-end Ottawa, at 7 Hamilton Avenue North. It is just behind the bustling Parkdale Market and a short stroll from the thriving shops and businesses of Wellington Avenue. Cube is the brainchild of Ottawa artist and curator Don Monet, well-known on the Ottawa arts scene as an arts advocate, events organizer and impresario. The gallery boasts 16 hundred square feet of space, and 12 foot high ceilings made of heavy red cedar. This allows Cube the flexibility to showcase substantial works of art - everything from 10' high sculptures.

The Co-operative is in Cape Dorset, Nunavut, and it is unique among the Arctic Co-operatives for its sustained focus on the arts and artists of the community. The Annual Graphics Collection from Cape Dorset has been released since 1959, and the Co-operative also represents many acclaimed sculptors. Dorset Fine Arts was established to continue to develop and serve the market for Inuit fine art produced by the artist members of the Co-operative. Sales of prints, drawings and sculpture are made through Dorset Fine Art’s showroom in downtown Toronto, which receives regular shipments from Cape Dorset. The showroom is not open to the public, but to galleries in Canada, the United States and Europe.
