Artist Collaboration Agreement (Contract)

Many artists engage in collaboration with another artist on a body of work, or in longer‐term partnerships. Often these artists also continue to produce their own works separate from their collaborative projects. When involved in a collaborative creative process, it is easy to forget about the long‐term legal and financial implications of such an arrangement, particularly around the issue of licensing reproduction and exhibition rights. This contract acts as a model for a negotiated agreement between two artists with respect to the ownership of copyright in a work of art created jointly by the artists.
